EEAA appoints Joyce DiMascio as general manager

The Exhibition & Event Association of Australasia today announced the appointment of former head of Business Events Australia, Joyce DiMascio, as the association's new general manager.

The Exhibition & Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) today (16 June) announced the appointment of former head of Business Events Australia, Joyce DiMascio, as the association’s new general manager.

The EEAA has appointed Joyce DiMascio as its new general manager.

DiMascio brings extensive events industry knowledge and experience to the role, as well as a background in government and advocacy.

As head of Business Events Australia at Tourism Australia she led the rebranding of Australia as a place for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions. She was also director of marketing communications at Tourism New South Wales for over six years.

She has developed advocacy campaigns for peak member organisations including TTF Australia and Tourism Industry Council NSW, and has had extensive experience representing industry on advisory panels to Government at a national and state level.

“Joyce’s extensive industry and government experience will greatly strengthen the ability of EEAA to raise the profile of the exhibition sector, and ensure our issues are heard in the right places by the right people,” said Matthew Pearce, President, EEAA.

“Our Board of Directors is unanimous in its support of her appointment, recognising the tremendous energy, expertise and intelligence Joyce will bring to leading our association.”

DiMascio succeeds Margaret Crichton who is leaving EEAA to take up a position at Circulations Audit Board, overseeing measurement and audit compliance of the exhibition industry.
