Moreton’s launches black marquee at Brisbane Festival

Moreton Hire launched its never-before-seen black marquee at the Brisbane Festival on the weekend.

Moreton Hire launched its never-before-seen black marquee at the Brisbane Festival on the weekend.

The marquee houses the Santos GLNG Lounge that provides the best vantage point for the nightly laser show. Sitting directly under the Wheel of Brisbane on the shores of South Bank, the new tent is the first of its kind in Queensland.

Brisbane Festival Artistic Director Noel Staunton said the new black marquee adds a whole new level of sophistication to the Santos GLNG Lounge.

Staunton said, “It really has the wow factor and we are grateful to our partners Moreton Hire for helping to make Brisbane Festival a wonderful event.”

Featuring a unique curved roof design that enables multiple marquees to seamlessly join side by side; the marquee was the perfect choice for Brisbane Festival due to its space functionality, curved roof and black exterior – something different from the standard white offering.

Moreton Hire CEO Roger Motteram said the tent is an exciting addition to their marquee range and Brisbane Festival was the perfect platform to launch the structure.

Motteram said, “Moreton Hire is proudly Queensland born and bred so we relish the opportunity to support an iconic Queensland event like Brisbane Festival as the launch pad for the marquee into the Australian market.”
