Sydney’s sparkling wine festival returns

The popular special event is back next month, with more than 60 sparkling wines, tasty food pairings, all-day entertainment and plenty more.

Those of us who love a glass (or two) of sparkling (and that’s most of us in events, right?), will be tickled to know Sparkling SYDNEY is returning to Pirrama Park, Pyrmont on Saturday 12 March.

Celebrating Australian food and bubbles, this day-long event will see 20 of the best Australian sparkling winemakers, including Petersons Wines, Rowlee Wines, and Freeman Vineyards to name just a few, gather in the harbourside park to show off their best creations.

More than 60 sparkling wines and an array of varietals will be on offer for your tasting pleasure, including Blanc de Blanc, Moscato, Prosecco, Verscato, Pinot Noir, and many more.

While sparkling wine will be centre stage, there’s also going to be other types of beverages of the effervescent kind on offer like craft beers, spiced rum cocktails, ginger beer, spritzes, a Fever Tree gin and tonic garden bar, and a range of alcohol-free beverages too.

On the gourmet front, foodies will be spoilt for choice with the likes of fresh oysters, Hunter Valley cheeses and charcuterie, gelato, pizza from famed Lucio’s Pizzeria, and signature dishes from local Pyrmont restaurants Barzini and Blue Eye Dragon.

The sparkling celebrations don’t stop at food and wine either – you can take part in sparkling wine bath soak and sugar scrub masterclasses too, while the live music line-up featuring everything from jazz to electro swing will keep the vibes high all day long.
