A six-bedroom villa styled along the lines of an exclusive boutique resort has opened on Koh Samui Island available for private hire for accommodation or events.

Commanding panoramic vistas of one of Thailand’s most popular island destination, the Suralai Resort is designed to host events of up to 200 people or accommodate groups of up to a dozen people, with only one rental at a time taking over the entire property.

Koh Samui’s latest boutique villa, the Suralai Resort

The residence features an expansive sun terrace, 20-metre infinity swimming pool, gym, wi-fi, landscaped gardens and six spacious bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, high-quality sound systems and cable TV.

Services for guests include a resident manager and housekeepers, with continental- or international-style breakfast included, and a private chef skilled at both Thai and western cuisine.

The upper level of the villa can seat up to 100 guests, with a central counter ideal for presenting buffets and a lower pool terrace that can seat 80. Together, the residence can accommodate 200 guests for cocktail-style events with satellite bars and food stations.

A professional wedding and event planning service, including everything from concept development, to catering, to entertainment and transportation, is also offered through Samui Villas & Homes, which manages a portfolio of private residences on the island.

Suralai sits on a hillside overlooking exclusive Bophut Beach – a 15-minute drive from Chaweng, the main shopping and entertainment area of Koh Samui.
