Buyers will be spoiled for choice when the doors open on New Zealand’s MEETINGS business tourism exhibition in June when around 170 NZ exhibitors showcase their services.

The event is being held at the SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre on June 26 and 27.

“We’re thrilled to be welcoming a sizeable number of new exhibitors to MEETINGS this year. This exhibition is about showcasing the diversity of New Zealand as a destination so it’s always great to see new companies and regions coming on board,” said MEETINGS’ event manager Jeanette Stanton.

“Buyers are going to get a really good feel of just how much New Zealand has to offer both in terms of destinations and products and services.”

Four Queenstown-based companies will be among those making their debut at MEETINGS including Glacier Southern Lakes Helicopters,
Art Adventures, and more.

Dunedin’s The Edgar Centre will also be exhibiting at MEETINGS for the first time. Home to the Lion Foundation Arena, Dunedin’s premier events centre, The Edgar Centre is a multi-functional facility, which is regularly used for sporting events, trade shows, exhibitions, and gala dinners.

Also exhibiting for the first time is Auckland’s Alexandra Park Function Centre. This multi-purpose venue is home to the Auckland Trotting Club and at the heart of harness racing in Auckland. Located just 10 minutes from Auckland’s CBD and Auckland International Airport, Alexandra Park features eight function rooms across four floors with capacities for up to 1000 guests.

Returning to MEETINGS after an absence of several years is the Grand Mercure Puka Park Resort, in the Coromandel. Located on Mount Pauanui amid 25 acres of lush native bushland, this resort provides a unique setting for conferencing, retreats and incentives with a difference.

Other newcomers are KiwiRail Scenic Journeys and Hamilton Gardens, which includes the Lakeside venue and function centre.
