Cordis Auckland opens Pinnacle Tower

The new addition will offer premium rooms and suites, an exclusive club lounge, and a large and versatile events space.

Cordis Auckland has opened the doors to its Pinnacle Tower, adjoining the hotel on the corner of Symonds Street and Karangahape Road in the heart of the city.

The 17-storey tower offers 244 new premium rooms and signature Cordis suites, making Cordis Auckland the largest hotel in New Zealand, in terms of room count, with 640 rooms.

Sleek and contemporary, the interiors are luxurious yet minimalist in design. Rooms and suites are versatile, with multi-purpose inter-connecting room options offering flexibility and functionality for groups.

Māori cultural concepts run through an impressively curated collection of 40 locally commissioned artworks, including throughout the specially designed Art Promenade, which connects the hotel to the tower through an immersive walkway of art.

The upper floors offer sprawling views across some of Auckland’s most famous landmarks, with the new Cordis Club Lounge on the 16th floor. This club lounge offers guests an exclusive respite, with complimentary drinks, canapés, and a live breakfast station.

Located on the top floor, The Chairman Suite is one of the city’s most luxurious accommodations. It boasts private lift access from an exclusive VIP entrance and more than 248 square metres of space complete with custom-made furnishings, marble bathroom and a large balcony with fire pit.

The new function and events space, Jade Room, offers 400 square metres of versatile events space, which can be used as one large space or sectioned into three separate rooms. It has floor-to-ceiling windows which fill the area in natural light, an outdoor balcony, and state-of-the-art boardroom.

The hotel’s renowned Eight Restaurant has also been expanded, taking its capacity up to 250, while the addition of a new bar called Our Land Is Alive, showcases New Zealand sourced food and beverages.

Bookings for the Pinnacle Tower will be available from November.
