Low cost carrier Scoot has launched five services per week from Perth to Singapore and Etihad has announced a daily service from Perth to Abu Dhabi launching in 2014.

Scoot is online in Perth as of last Thursday

The inaugural flight of Singapore-based low cost carrier Scoot into Perth touched down last Thursday 12 December. Scoot will operate five services a week between Singapore and Perth using its 402 seat Boeing 777s. Perth is Scoot’s third Australian destination after Sydney and the Gold Coast. Scoot’s arrival comes hot on the heels of Air New Zealand’s new Christchurch to Perth direct service and Qantas’ first Auckland to Perth direct service, both of which started last week.

In addition to this, Etihad Airways is set to launch direct A330-200 services between Abu Dhabi and Perth from July 15, 2014, adding more than 95,000 inbound seats a year.
