Business Events as usual for Tasmania

Business Events Tasmania has assured organisers it's 'Business Events as usual' and recent bushfires have not affected events

Business Events Tasmania  (BE Tasmania) has assured organisers it’s ‘Business Events as usual’ and recent bushfires have not affected events.

In a statement sent today, Business Events Tasmania confirmed the main centres of Hobart and Launceston remain unaffected by the fires and that the main road has re-opened into the affected areas in Tasmania’s South-east, providing access for tourists into the Port Arthur Historic Site and other tourist attractions.

Delegates planning to pre and post tour in these areas can monitor the fire situation through the ABC by clicking here and should act on any instructions from the Tasmanian Fire Service and Police.

Should organisers require require assistance with information or relocation, the BE Tasmania team has advised they are availble to help.

“If you wish to contribute to the Tasmanian Bushfire Appeal through your business event or otherwise, Business Events Tasmania recommends the Red Cross Tasmanian Bushfire Appeal 2013,” said chief executive officer, Stuart Nettlefold.

“As always we welcome your support through bidding opportunities and look forward to assisting you with all of your business event needs in 2013.”
