Australasia’s first Hilton Garden Inn hotel opens in WA

The newly developed Hilton Garden Inn Albany is now open, marking the fourth Hilton hotel in Western Australia.

Hilton has announced the opening of Hilton Garden Inn Albany, marking the fourth Hilton hotel in Western Australia and the first Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Australasia.

The newly developed, five-story property features 108 rooms and overlooks Albany Waterfront Marina, affording ocean views and easy access to the city’s main attractions.

Strategically located beside the Albany Entertainment Centre, the hotel is just 20-minutes’ drive from Albany Airport and is also close to Albany’s bus station which connects travellers to destinations throughout WA, including Perth, Kalgoorlie and Bunbury.

Hilton vice president operations, Australasia, Heidi Kunkel said the hotel’s opening demonstrates Hilton’s ongoing commitment to the state and first foray into regional WA.

“We look forward to further growing the Hilton Garden Inn brand in regional centres, as this hotel will be joined by Hilton Garden Inn Busselton in 2023,” Kunkel said.

Hilton Garden Inn Albany offers 160 square metres of flexible event space designed to host memorable events. The three separate meeting rooms, which can also be used as one space, feature floor to ceiling windows overlooking the grassed frontage and on to the vibrant Albany Waterfront Marina. Each room offers in-built audio and visual technology, catering facilities with delicious menu choices and flexible offerings.

Accommodations include king, twin and accessible guest rooms, including six deluxe rooms with panoramic ocean views. Larger groups can enjoy sofa beds in every king guest room or take advantage of the new Confirmed Connecting Rooms by Hilton technology to easily book and instantly confirm at least two of the hotel’s connecting rooms.

There is a 24-hour fitness centre and self-service laundry onsite, while food and beverage options consist of a ground-floor restaurant with open kitchen, a bar offering local craft beers and WA wines, and a 24-hour grab-and-go shop.
