Remarkable new hotel for Queenstown

The hotel will offer 182 rooms, an all-day-dining outlet and large meeting facilities.

IHG will launch a new flagship Holiday Inn hotel in New Zealand, with the opening of Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park.

Located in a prime spot near Queenstown Airport and The Remarkables Ski Field, the hotel is poised to open in early 2021.

Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park will boast 182 rooms, an all-day-dining outlet and bar, plus large meeting facilities.

IHG senior director of development, Australasia, Abhijay Sandilya said the Holiday Inn brand is well-known across the world.

“With a company focus on growing our brands into regional areas, we are thrilled to partner with QLong Investments to bring a stunning new Holiday Inn to New Zealand,” he said.

“Our existing hotels in Queenstown are performing extremely well, and this new Holiday Inn will complement them perfectly, along with the upcoming Holiday Inn Express which will open in 2020.”

The new hotel announcement comes as IHG puts a strong focus on growing the Holiday Inn portfolio in Australia and New Zealand.

Recent Holiday Inn signings include new-build properties in Wagga Wagga, Melbourne Dandenong, Geelong, Melbourne Ringwood, Melbourne Coburg and Melbourne Werribee.
