A group of conference and event organisers were treated to first class hospitality and a dual goal medal experience by the team at InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort recently.

The PCO famils are part of IHG’s mission to showcase the luxurious resort and put their first Queensland property on the radar as an exceptional place for conferences and events.

InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort’s director of sales & marketing Jayme Cuttriss and her team created another terrific schedule of on-site and off-site events and activities for their guests to enjoy.

“We used this weekend to officially launch our Insider Collection which has been created specifically for conference and event organisers. The Insider Collection provides a range of delegate experiences to help create a truly engaging and personalised meeting or event.

“Throughout the weekend our guests were lucky enough to experience some of our key experiences with the highlight for most being meeting and interacting with two of Australia’s Olympic Gold medalists,” said Cuttriss.

Natalie Cook won gold at the 2000 Olympic games and is part of the resort’s Insider Interactions program. With Gold medal in hand she spent Saturday afternoon lunching with the PCO’s in The Fireplace and giving them a taste of how she can ignite and motivate a crowd in the conference room. After lunch the team were thrilled to be taken down to the lagoon pool beach for a team building volleyball clinic with the Olympian.

Steven Bradbury who won Gold at the 2002 Winter Olympics also joined the group.

And if one Gold medalist wasn’t enough, skating in to join the guests on Sunday was Steven Bradbury who won Gold at the 2002 Winter Olympics. Steven is part of the resort’s Insider Speaker’s program and with a perfectly themed Winter wonderland backdrop, he thoroughly entertained the PCO’s with stories about his success as an Olympian and in business.

Both Steven and Natalie are looking forward to frequenting the resort to motivate, entertain and engage with conference delegates from all over the country.

The weekend famil included a helicopter trip over to McLaren’s Landing for some activities and morning tea; a heart-pumping jet boat trip back to the resort; a degustation lunch in The Fireplace with Natalie Cook; a volleyball lesson with Natalie Cook; cocktails and canapes in The Manor Suite; a night visit to Dreamworld to experience Tiger Island, the Australian Outback area and a sit down dinner in Kung Fu Panda World; breakfast on board the luxurious 100Ft Super Yacht ‘Eagle ONE’ with a Jetpack demonstration; a golf clinic at the Sanctuary Cove Golf Club and a Winter wonderland themed lunch with special guest speaker Steven Bradbury.
