Club Med goes eco-chic with new luxury resort

The property will focus on sustainable initiatives and wellness.

Club Med is adding to its portfolio of luxury resorts, with the upcoming launch of Club Med Michès Playa Esmeralda in the Dominican Republic.

Set to open on 23 November 2019, the resort is Club Med’s first Exclusive Collection property in the Americas and will comprise 93 acres of unspoiled beach.

The resort seamlessly blends four distinct villages together, making it an ideal location for an intimate corporate retreat or incentive program.

The villages include Archipelago, an adult-exclusive oceanfront sanctuary; Emerald Jungle, another adult-exclusive retreat with a focus on wellness; Explorer Cove, a family-friendly village, and Caribbean Paradise, complete with lush tropical gardens.

An array of bars and restaurants will be located throughout the property, including Coal & Copper Steakhouse, adults-only poolside bar El Limon and wine bar La Cava – Wine Cellars.
