Variety of Chefs 2016 is shaping up to be the gastronomical fundraising event of the year. Hosted by Australian Technology Park in Sydney, a unique event space sets the scene for an evening of world class dining and wine, fantastic entertainment and a wonderful atmosphere which all contribute to a great cause – the Variety children’s charity.

Now in its eight year, the evening is well and truly on the annual “foodies’ radar,” and with top chefs jostling for space on the menu an incredible meal is guaranteed.

The six course dinner is paired with premium Calabria wines and will be delivered by Michael Moore of O Bar and Dining; Justin North of Hotel Centennial; Adrian Richardson of La Luna; Maz Valcorza of Sadhana Kitchen; Telina Menzies, National Executive Chef for Publican Group Australia; John Ralley of Textbook Patisserie; and Chris Stubbs from Bayleaf Catering who helped bring everyone together.

The evening will be MC’d by the Today Show’s Sylvia Jefferies and MasterChef winner Adam Liaw and entertainment is headlined by Australian musician Richard Clapton.

This is the second year that Australian Technology Park Conference Centre has sponsored the event. “We are honoured to be supporting such a great cause again,” says Ruby Chronis Director Sales & Marketing, Australian Technology Park. “We’ve established a partnership with Variety as we feel their approach to empowering children in need compliments our own values of supporting our community. We work closely with several programs and have onsite tenants such as the Cancer Institute, and this focus on ‘giving back’ is a great motivator and is hugely rewarding for our organisation.”

Variety is celebrating 40 years of helping children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs. Among the VIP guests will be five year old Samuel Hevron and his family. Samuel has down syndrome and congenital heart disease and recently received a stroller from Variety – the stroller has a stair climbing attachment which has enabled his mother to carry him to their apartment with ease.

“The work done by Variety has such an impact on so many people,” says Variety CEO Tam Johnston. “And the support of organisations such as Australian Technology Park and individuals like our top chefs is immeasurable. We are looking forward to a fantastic evening in a stunning location.”
