Kingsleys Steak & Crabhouse Melbourne is hosting its inaugural Steak Tasting Dinner on Feb 2. From Carpaccio to Wagyu, the restaurant will combine the finest beef produce with simple, professional cooking and an expert wine selection to provide guests with a culinary experience to remember.
The evening will start with seafood canapés including freshly shucked Pacific and Sydney Rock oysters; Alaskan King Crab, capsicum and cucumber gazpacho; and an Alaskan King Crab Cocktail complimented by a 2007 Howard Park Riesling. Entrée is a simple and classic dry aged beef carpaccio accompanied by a 2008 Coriole ‘Nebbiolo’ Rose.
Main course is a comparison of three different grades of beef striploins; Cargill’s traditional pasture-fed striploin, a Riverine Striploin (marble score 2+) and a Wagyu striploin (marble score 6-7). The main course will be partnered with the magnificent 2000 Penfold’s St Henri Shiraz and the elegant 2002 Craggy Range ‘Block 14’ Syrah, both of which will perfectly enhance the flavours of prime quality steak.
