Discover the new Yallamundi Rooms at Sydney Opera House

Dramatic views of Sydney Harbour and the Harbour Bridge, state of the art AV facilities, and capacity for up to 400 people at a cocktail event, or 180 people seated.

Proudly opened in April 2019, the Yallamundi Rooms have been purpose built to accommodate a range of events, from conferences and product launches, to end of year celebrations and cocktail functions.

The name Yallamundi means storyteller, and was chosen to celebrate the Opera House’s longstanding First Nations legacy, and its position on Bennelong Point – a meeting place for thousands of years.

Carefully designed to match their World Heritage listed architectural significance, the all-weather venue retains significant features by both Opera House architects, Utzon and Hall, including concrete walls, white birch moulded timber “wobbly” panels and pink granite terrazzo floor, to create a signature space within the Opera House perfect for your event.

Available year round, the Yallamundi Rooms have direct access to the Northern Broadwalk, with floor to ceiling windows, dramatic views of Sydney Harbour and the Harbour Bridge, state of the art AV facilities, and capacity for up to 400 people at a cocktail event, or 180 people seated.

Discover some of our other unique venues at the Opera House including the Utzon Room, Joan Sutherland Theatre Northern Foyer and the Concert Hall Northern Foyer.
