Decorative Events & Exhibitions Launch Six New Styling Collections

Voted in the top five suppliers for Styling and Decor in Spice Top 100. Decorative Events & Exhibitions have added another six more styling collections to their already extensive range.

Decorative Events & Exhibitions (DE&E) have unveiled their latest styling collections for Spring and Summer 2013/2014.  Led by company Directors, Mark Magennis, Peter Fulton and Lynleigh McPherson, the team of talented Stylists have successfully created six new and sophisticated styling trends to add to their already extensive range of collections.

The new styling collections were launched to the industry several weeks ago through a series of intimate dinners and cocktail events held within the new DE&E custom warehouse and the freshly styled showroom. The new collections are now available for viewing on the DE&E website under the ‘Styled Collections’ pages.

Gatsby Glamour

There is no doubt that this year’s highly anticipated reinvention of the classic Fitzgerald story has inspired the Gatsby Glamour trend within the events industry and is in fact DE&E’s number one source of enquiry. Diving deep into the opulence and decadence of the roaring twenties, Gatsby Glamour is the fusion of Hollywood Glamour and distinctive Art Deco geometric shapes and patterns. The new custom designed Black Geometric Screens, Gold Candelabras and the Crystal Decanter Pendant Lights are the favourites amongst the DE&E Stylists.

Neon Pastel Smash

Pastel and neon have both had their time in the spotlight, and it’s now about bringing these together as their own unique combination, or combinations, as the case may be!  Inspiration has come from interiors, fashion, home wares, food styling, tastes and memories. This collection incorporates the ongoing trend for raw timber textures within design generally, and is the perfect element to allow the colours to springboard into life.

Bohemian Gypset

The trend for all things bohemian and gypsy inspired is a move away from the shabby chic ‘rustic’ look into something that still has that relaxed, slightly crafty feel but with more of a Luxe and polished finish. It sees an almost a brick a brack of items brought together to create a cohesive look with a spattering of sequins, glamour and fashion elements. The Stylists took inspiration from emerging fashion, wedding and event stylists out of New York, specifically the duo known as Confetti System who create installations and interactive objects for high end clients globally. Bohemian and Gypset is a combination of old and new, by taking objects from the past and juxtaposing them with modern metallic and disposable elements resulting in a fresh bold new look.

Kaleidoscope Christmas

Kaleidoscope Christmas was initially inspired by elements of patterning that are now seen within the fashion and interior industry. Kaleidoscope Christmas was developed by deconstructing the components of Christmas and viewing these in a contemporary form. The stylists were inspired by artists such as Yayoi Kusama who has used repetition, silver baubles as well as mirrored reflection in her artworks.  Kaleidoscope Christmas is about taking a contemporary approach to a traditional holiday by using a unique, sophisticated and structured design.

Emerald India

Asian exotic themes & looks are always popular & fun. This take on India using inspiration from the ‘Pantone Colour of the Year’ – Emerald – moves away from the usual bright jewel colours & gives the look a sophisticated & rich feel. Teaming the deep tones of Emerald Green with the luxe of gold products ensures a very exotic & sumptuous experience. With Emerald India, it’s all about the mix of one bold colour in many shades.  The low banquet style seating with custom made timber ottomans and cushions create that old ‘old world’ and exotic experience.

Havana Nights

This dark and atmospheric theme reflects the underground style of Havana. Inspiration is drawn from wanting to create an inviting and sultry space that allows for guests to escape to a destination that is taboo and shrouded in mystery.  The rustic and industrial trend is combined with a grungy and eclectic look of colours and textures. The Australian event market likes to use destination as a style or theme and this is certainly a new one which you can really play with, even as a pop up space that can be created anywhere.
