Air Canada has reduced the cost of flying between Australia and Canada to 1999 levels, with return tickets now costing $1499 return in economy class.
Air Canada has Vancouver flights on sale
Air Canada general manager – Australia and NZ, Jeannie Foster, said there has never been a better time to travel and there has never been better value for money.
“If you’ve ever wanted to travel to North America, now is the time to go,” she said. “Don’t think fares are going to get lower.
“Vancouver is a really convenient gateway to Canada and the rest of North America. You can avoid the long queues at Los Angeles Airport, quickly clear US Customs in Vancouver and continue your journey to any of our 35 destinations in North America and the Caribbean.
“And surprisingly our dollar is actually worth slightly more today than it was in March 1999 when you got just 63 American cents to the Aussie dollar,” she said.
Air Canada also has flights to Seattle, San Francisco, Portland and Los Angeles starting from $1,165 plus taxes.
