The 26th Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo rolled into Melbourne last week, with event professionals from Australia and beyond gathering for a jam-packed itinerary of one-to-one meetings, networking events, and educational seminars from the industry’s thought leaders.
The show floor at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre was brimming with domestic and international exhibitors, from tourist boards to global hotel brands, eager to present their products to MICE buyers, in addition to an array of tech suppliers showing off their latest innovations.
The show kicked off with AIME’s annual hosted buyers party, held at the historic Old Melbourne Gaol. Event organisers on the night, Showtime Event Group, took the opportunity to announce the news of its rebrand and signing of six Melbourne venues to its portfolio.
Another highlight from the week was Melbourne Convention Bureau’s soiree at The Big Group’s Ormond Collective venue on St Kilda Road. Taking on a festival theme, the venue was separated into six themed areas that were spread across its indoor and outdoor event spaces, with a variety of interactive performers keeping the crowd entertained throughout the night.
Exhibitors Crown Melbourne also got in on the action, hosting an exclusive breakfast in the River Room at Crown Towers, which featured a variety of entertainment from DJ Claire Elliott and live art palette painter, Jamos – ‘Jamos Art’.
