VictorsFood has broken Australia’s record for the largest hands-on cooking event earlier this month in Sydney.
On 1 November, over 600 delegates from The Property Council of Australia’s annual conference attended The Fiesta social networking event on Cockatoo Island, and helped to cook and serve each other an array of international street food.
The event, held at Sydney’s Cockatoo Island saw over 600 delegates enjoy a market style street food experience.
VictorsFood designed the event so guests could ‘pop in’ to any stall and quickly make a dish to eat and a bit to share, leaving plenty of time for networking.
“It was such an exciting night for everyone, and a hugely successful event,” said VictorsFood CEO and executive chef, Victor Pisapia. “The guests, client and sponsor have come back to us with glowing comments. We’ve had a lot of interest in this style of event we call ‘Networking with Sizzle’ – giving guests a variety of opportunities to engage by cooking with each other and sharing fantastic food, without spending the whole night cooking. It also gives a competitive pricing structure versus catering.”
The VictorsFood team engaged over 600 conferences delegates with a very social interactive cooking event.
The event organiser, Carlita Glode, National Events Coordinator at Property Council of Australia, said, “The Property Council of Australia, holds an annual national conference, The Property Congress. It is a 3 day conference which incorporates 3 social networking events – a Gala Dinner, The Property Fiesta and an After Party.”
The Property Fiesta is one of the key highlights with over 600 people in attendance. This year we wanted The Fiesta to provide more opportunities for the guests to connect with each other, so we worked with VictorsFood to create an interactive cooking event with a networking focus. They developed a ‘noodle market’ style set-up with a whole range of international street foods on offer for the event that was held on Cockatoo Island.
Attendees were able to work together to create delicious dishes and network in the process.
Feedback on the night was outstanding and positive, and all attendees not only enjoyed the concept, they also enjoyed getting their hands dirty by cooking some of the food themselves. The VictorsFood team did a fantastic job at engaging the guests, getting them cooking together and even serving each other.
