South Australian-owned events and conference management company, All Occasions Group, has hit the ground running in 2011 with three big events across three states in the first three months of the year and the announcement that their in-house agency Travelscene has been awarded IATA accreditation.
The agency will also be further integrated into the Event planning side of the business with an online travel booking facility built into the All Occasions website by early February 2011 – a service able to be provided by very few conference and event planning companies within Australia.
“We have worked hard in the convention and tourism industries on staying true to our word and delivering an outstanding experience at all levels. It’s a fabulous feeling and a true reflection of the quality of our team to kick start 2011 with such a big bang,” said Anne-Marie Quinn, managing director of All Occasions Group.
Anne-Marie Quinn, managing director of All Occasions Group says that 2011 has started with a bang.
“For conference managers, the benefits of our integration of the travel and event management side of our business are endless” said Quinn. “The feedback data we can provide back to organisers is invaluable – in addition of course to making life so much simpler for delegates. It will make conference registration a one stop shop instead of them having to contact two different sources – one for the conference and one to make travel arrangements,” she said.
The All Occasions Group started the year with the “2011 Biennial Conference for the South Pacific Educators in Vision Impairment” in Sydney from 16–21 January. This event demonstrated All Occasions Group’s ability to manage diversity and accessibility requirements with a range of delegates with differing needs in attendance. The conference attracted over 180 delegates and was held at the Marriott Sydney Harbour.
Moving into February, the team will head to Melbourne for the “Australian Agricultural and Resources Economics Society National Conference”, where over 300 delegates will come together for four days at the Crown Conference Centre.
In March, the team will return home to Adelaide to work on the 4 day “Urban Development Institute of Australia National Congress”. This event, at the Adelaide Convention Centre, will see approximately 700 delegates in attendance with additional activities and events showcasing Adelaide and South Australia such as the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Barossa Valley, Glenelg and various venues hosting golf, cycling and site tours.
The three events will see All Occasions Group strengthening key relationships with their suppliers including Haigh’s Chocolates and the local South Australian wine industry.
