After a career spanning over 36 years with Hyatt International, Arthur Holliger will retire from the group in December as area vice president pacific and general manager of Park Hyatt Melbourne.


After a career spanning over 36 years with Hyatt International, Arthur Holliger will retire from the group in December as area vice president pacific and general manager of Park Hyatt Melbourne.

At the helm will be Robert Dawson who has been with Hyatt nearly two decades beginning at the Park Hyatt Hotel in London, followed two and a half years as Manager of the Hyatt Regency Singapore (now a Grand Hyatt Hotel). In 1994 he took a move as pre-opening general manager of Park Hyatt Johannesburg, Hyatt’s first hotel in South Africa. Dawson was later transferred to head up Hyatt Regency Perth as general manager.

The changing of the guard will see Dawson take up the role in December as area director pacific and general manager.

Dawson will co-host his first official event with Holliger at the Park Hyatt Melbourne marquee at Paspaley Polo in the City on 22nd November. Hyatt is as a major event sponsor for this national sporting event which will include international and Australian players.
