Challenging the belief that the industry is in recession, Pages Event Equipment has expanded their Melbourne team following the successful win of three major new contracts in Victoria.
Six additional staff have been added to the Victorian sales and operations team to assist with the expected growth over the next 12 months.
Included in the expanded team are Terry Hooten, following his role at the Australian Jockey Club has joined the company as contracts administrator while heading up the operational side of Pages Melbourne is Tali Filihia, transferring from Pages Sydney Office after involvement in numerous national events including the V8 Motor racing, APEC, World Youth Day 08 and the Golden Slipper Racing Carnival.
To assist with event deliveries, three additional staff have been employed following Pages’ success at the 2008 Cox Plate and The Australian Tennis Open 2009.
“In the last week, Pages have been announced as the successful bidder for a Victorian state government project, a Victorian local government project and a national exhibition for the DaVinci Museum,” confirmed Pages managing director Attila Boros adding that the company is predicting a growth expansion of approximately 25 per cent in Victoria for the 2009/10 year.
