After 15 years as James Gordon Workshop, the Sydney-based event design and production company has announced its name change to Workshop Events.
The Workshop Events team.
Workshop Events managing director and event producer, Richard Breatnach, who has been with the company since its inception in 1996, said the new name reflected the company’s growth.
“We have come a long way in 15 years, from our origins as planners of fabulous parties in Sydney, to today – when our skills and creativity are in demand for all manner of corporate events, brand experiences and private celebrations,” he said.
Workshop Events’ new identity also represents the increased sophistication of the industry and the change in the way clients now consider events.
“We have become an extension of our clients’ event and marketing teams, playing a greater role in the strategic planning process. We have more input into determining how to generate ROI, in its many shapes and forms, from events.
“Our new name reflects this evolution and the way in which we work – collaboratively and creatively, building ideas, events and experiences from scratch and bringing them to life within our own Workshop.”
The rebranding coincides with the departure of one of the company’s founders, James Gordon, who has left to work on independant projects.
While the company’s name has changed, Workshop Events’ commitment to creativity, design and customer service remains the same.
“We continue to conceptualise, design, construct and produce unforgettable experiences, which deliver return on investment. Our team of creative, experienced and enthusiastic event professionals also remains unchanged.”
As part of the change, Workshop Events has launched a new logo, new creative and a new website.
