The Business Events Council of Australia (BECA) has appointed Inge Garofani AMM to the position of Executive Manager of the peak body, with effect from August 1.

Inge brings to the position a passion for the industry and a wealth of knowledge about the business events sector from her experience as an Executive Manager at the well known conference company, Arinex Pty Ltd combined with over 20 years in the event management business.
“We are delighted to have secured Inge Garofani for this position”, said BECA Chairman Leigh Harry. “We believe she has the necessary strategic and stakeholder management skills to handle the job, together with the extensive background industry knowledge which will bring value to our peak body.”
The retiring CEO, Elizabeth Rich, will assist in the handover and briefing of the incoming manager in July. BECA Chairman Leigh Harry said “Elizabeth has made a remarkable contribution to the business events industry both nationally and globally over many years. The industry is significantly better understood and recognised because of her constant and passionate contribution during this period.”
“There are still many challenges ahead for the business events industry and BECA will continue to play a key role representing all industry participants particularly with federal and state governments. Inge will play a critical role on behalf of BECA in addressing these challenges with the support of all BECA members,” Leigh Harry concluded.
