Artist Azuma Makoto, famous for his botanical work, created an exhibition called Iced Flowers in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of Tokyo.
Makoto said,‘Flowers will show unique expressions that they do not display in everyday life, by placed under such a different environment’.
As the ice melts, the flowers will eventually wither and die – a good way to explore the ‘ephemeral and fleeting nature of beauty’.
