Destination Marketing Services appoints new general manager

Destination Marketing Services recently celebrated 18 years in business and has now restructured and expanded its team with the promotion of Marissa Fernandez to the new role of general manager.


Destination Marketing Services (DMS) recently celebrated 18 years in business and has now restructured and expanded its team with the promotion of Marissa Fernandez to the new role of general manager.

DMS has also appointed an account manager and an office manager to their expanding team.

“It is with great pride that I announce Marissa’s new role and welcome our new staff. The decision to restructure and increase our team will enable DMS to continue providing our business partners and the Australian/New Zealand business events industry with the high quality service they have come to expect from us,” said Leila Fiedler, DMS Founder and managing director.

Fernanadez has been with DMS for six years and previously held the role of director of sales. Her tourism and hospitality experience spans over 20 years and includes hotel sales and tourism development.

Her new role will be to manage the day to day operation of the company and to ensure DMS’ business partners and the business events industry continue to receive the professional service DMS is renowned for.
