Daydream Island Resort and Spa is pleased to welcome Karen Maher to the position of business development manager.

Daydream Island Resort and Spa has appointed a new Business development manager focussing on the conference and incentive market.

Her role involves generating new business opportunities for Daydream Island, with a strong focus on the conference and incentives market. She will also develop strategies for sourcing further business with social groups and clubs.

She joins the team with over 10 years of experience in the industry. Her previous position was as sales manager for Fantasea Adventure Cruising in the Business Events, Corporate and Groups market, and was also responsible for the upkeep of the wholesale and retail sectors.

Maher said she was excited to work for Daydream Island because it offered a unique conferencing and leisure experience in the Whitsunday islands.

“Daydream Island offers the best of both worlds for visitors – it’s a peaceful romantic retreat with beautiful beaches and rainforest, perfect for honeymooners and couples, but it also offers plenty of activities and a friendly atmosphere, ideal for families and conference groups,” she said. “I look forward to growing the conference and incentives market at Daydream over the next few years and building strong relationships within the industry.”
