Flight Centre Limited has continued to boost its presence in Western Australia, with the opening of a Perth based cievents office this month.
Just weeks after FLT launched its Stage & Screen corporate travel brand in WA, the conference and events specialist has landed on the West Coast to capitalise on the growing demand for a dedicated local offering.
The new office is cievents’ first in Australia outside the East Coast capital cities and will target clients across all business sectors.
“Perth is growing and we see great potential for cievents in this market, just as we see great potential for local destinations like Margaret River, Broome and, of course, Perth to host more events,” said cievents general manager, Natalie Simmons.
“In addition to the thriving local business community, many of our East Coast clients are setting up offices in Perth, which creates a demand for our dedicated conferencing and events services.
“We also have the opportunity to work closely with FLT’s other corporate travel brands, including Corporate Traveller and FCm Travel Solutions, to add additional value to our growing client base in Western Australia.”
The business provides customers with events services including customised loyalty programs, production, logistics, design and content management.
Events range in size from 10 to 6000 people “In addition to the domestic hotspots, cievents has organised conferences in some of the world’s most exotic locations including Africa, Tahiti, the Maldives, Morocco and Mauritius,” Simmons said.
“One of our largest logistical challenges was re-routing a 650-person conference from Fiji to Sydney after a cyclone cut off access and power at the island that was initially set to host the event.
“With just three days’ notice, we had to fly 80 people out who were already on holiday in Fiji, relocate the entire week-long conference to Sydney and manage theming, speakers, venues, functions and other requirements.
“This was achieved successfully and without losing a single bag.”
