Business Events Sydney (BESydney) – the organisation responsible for promoting Sydney as a business events destination – has opened a full-service office in Canada to identify new event opportunities.
The new office is dedicated to assisting and supporting current and potential clients in the North American business events market who are considering, or could be considering, Sydney as a destination for their business event.
“North America is a priority market for Business Events Sydney and we are delighted to expand our resources and reach with the opening of a dedicated office in Montreal,” said BESydney CEO Jon Hutchison.
“With many airlines travelling to and from Sydney, such as Qantas, and now Delta Airlines and V Australia, as well as lower airfares, there are more opportunities to cater for this market.”
The new office will be headed by BESydney business development director for North America, Patty Buehler, who brings 10 year’s experience working in the hotel sector and contacts garnered during her last gig with the Canadian Convention Center.
As part of her new role, Buehler will be attending Meeting Professionals International’s (MPI) World Educational Conference, PCMA‘s International Forum and events staged by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) to meet with organisations and individuals seeking destinations to host their next event.
“We’re delighted to have Patty on-board. With her experience and expertise, she has great insights into association and corporate organisations allowing her to quickly interpret the needs of clients and offer the right solutions,” said Mr Hutchison.
With headquarters in Sydney Australia, BESydney also has international offices in Hong Kong and London.
