Here, the team at Australian Turf Club share the highlights of two of their leading venues: Royal Randwick and Rosehill Gardens.
Royal Randwick
An iconic venue in Sydney’s racing scene, Royal Randwick has also grown a reputation as a leading event venue, thanks to its more than 20 indoor and outdoor spaces.
“From the fun and glamour of race day to corporate and business functions, our team is able to cater for any type of event with the very best food, service and hospitality,” says Royal Randwick Racecourse general manager Adam Smith.
“All of our spaces are highly flexible and can be dressed for any occasion. We recently hosted the black-tie NRMA Kennedy Awards, the SAP 2020 kickoff conference with 900 guests across multiple spaces and will be hosting the upcoming Priceline Pharmacy – The Beauty Prescription Media Event in April for 100 guests.”
Royal Randwick is more than just racing. In 2019, the venue took out the NSW Savour Australia Restaurant & Catering Award in the event catering category, bolstering its position as a leader in the field.
Aside from flexible spaces and high-quality catering, the venue also offers a prime location minutes from Sydney’s CBD, free on-site parking, high density Wi-Fi, comprehensive audio visual capabilities and full technology support.
Rosehill Gardens
Located in Sydney’s West, Rosehill Gardens offers a huge selection of event venues to suit all needs.
After undergoing $28-million-dollar refurbishment in 2016, the venue now rivals some of the world’s best racing facilities.
As part of the revamp, the venue revealed a new multipurpose event space, The Hive. The space accommodates up to 300 guests for cocktail events and features floor-to-ceiling windows for racecourse views.
Rosehill Gardens Racecourse general manager Matt Sharman says the venue is able to host a range of different events for up to 1500 people across a variety of spaces every day of the week.
One of those is the hugely popular Sydney Caravan & Camping Expo, one of the nation’s hallmark events that draws massive crowds to Western Sydney each year.
“We are a unique venue for all of Sydney, proudly based in the heart of the west, which offers diverse spaces for all events,” says Sharman.
“The two-level Grand Pavilion has 3000 square metres of space across both levels whilst our Exhibition Hall has occupies a 4000-square-metre footprint. All this operates independently from the first-class, four level racecourse grandstand.”
The venue is also fully equipped with comprehensive Wi-Fi and audio visual capabilities and free on-site parking.
Alongside Royal Randwick and Rosehill Gardens, the Australian Turf Club portfolio also includes Warwick Farm in South West Sydney and Canterbury Park just west of Sydney’s CBD.
