New Zealand will host its first National Business Events Awards in 2025 to be held during the Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA) conference.
The BEIA conference will be held in one of New Zealand’s metro cities every second year to include the awards evening.
Announced at MEETINGS 2024, the awards will recognise and reward outstanding achievements in the industry and aim to promote excellence, innovation and collaboration across the sector.
BEIA CEO, Lisa Hopkins, says it has been an industry-wide initiative to champion the industry.
“The time is now right, with the launch of our 10-year strategic direction,” says Hopkins.
“In a non-awards year, the conference will be held in a regional city to continue BEIA’s commitment to hosting conferences in our incredible regional destinations.”
Both the conference and awards are open to anyone in the business events sector with the inaugural awards dinner staged late next year in Auckland.
MEETINGS 2024 has been held this year from June 19-20 in Rotorua at the Energy Events Centre and is New Zealand’s only national trade show for the business events industry.
