ABEA wants emerging leaders for program

Scholarships have been provided to ensure the program's affordability and accessibility.

The Australian Business Events Association (ABEA) has announced it is accepting applications for the 2023 Leading Well Program for Emerging Leaders, taking place in Sydney and Melbourne during October and November.

The program aims to empower participants with the essential skills and knowledge required for success in their roles and to make significant contributions to their respective organisations, and the industry.

Tourism Australia EGM of Commercial & Business Events Australia, Robin Mack, said Business Events Australia is proud to partner with ABEA and offer 22 emerging leaders the chance to build their leadership skills through the 2023 Scholarship Program.

“It’s so important to support the ongoing development of our industry, to ensure Australia remains at the forefront in delivering high calibre business events and continues to be competitive as a business events destination internationally,” he said.

The 2023 program is open to two cohorts of 15 participants and is designed to provide emerging leaders with an immersive and comprehensive learning experience.

It includes two full-day face-to-face group sessions and individual one-on-one coaching, spearheaded by Leading Well Executive Coach, Dan Londero.

The program aims to guide and prepare emerging leaders for the transition into exceptional leadership, honing skills such as the management of mindsets and the crucial aspect of wellbeing in today’s professional landscape.

ABEA CEO, Melissa Brown, said the program is made possible through the support of Business Events Australia and Momentus Technologies, who have provided scholarships to ensure the program’s affordability and accessibility.

Applications for the 2023 Leading Well Program for Emerging Leaders will officially close on October 17 and can be made through the ABEA.
