Festival Director Bill Hauritz has described the 29th Woodford Folk Festival as ‘the most visually beautiful festival we’ve produced’.
An aggregate audience of 126,122 patrons (a 3 per cent increase from last year) attended the festival to watch the 1, 239 shows by 441 acts in the site’s 28 venues.
Festival organisers also celebrated the first year of all food and drink packaging served on site in biodegradable materials.
Headline acts this year included Bertie Blackman, Violent Femmes, Sticky Fingers, Kate Miller-Heidke and The Cat Empire.
Organisers have announced that The Planting, an annual weekend camping festival of environmental talks and forums, concerts, comedy, visual arts program and workshops, walks, children’s festival combined and tree-planting program, will be held on June 5 – 7, 2015.
