The Australian Event Symposium is calling out for proposals for presenters to explore the theme Events, Tourism and Destination Branding.

The program will be split into four streams throughout the two day symposium: Sporting Event Tourism, Business Event Tourism, Cultural Event Tourism and Event Tourism in Regional Australia.

Presenters are being sought for the second day and are invited to put forward case studies, panel sessions and other presentations addressing the issues and opportunities pertinent to the intersection and overlap of these two vital Australian industries.

Proposals can be submitted through the symposium website which also has more information about the submission process.

The first day of the symposium will be a day of plenary sessions with a key industry figure focussing on each of the four streams and culminating in the 2015 National Events Address looking at the nationwide state of the events industry with respect to its connections to tourism.

Presented by the Australian Event Awards, the Symposium will take place on November 17 and 18 to coincide with awards.
