As part of Star City’s $575 million program to turn the complex into a world class dining and entertainment destination, foodies, media and Sydney’s social scene came together for the launch of its latest offering – Fat Noodle.

The launch of Star City’s newest dining destination Fat Noodle is part of the $575 million upgrade taking place at the venue.

Consulting chef, and one of Sydney’s leading celebrity chefs, Luke Nguyen helped develop the contemporary noodle bar, which primarily offers Chinese cuisine, with a mix of Vietnamese, Thai and Malay.

Guests, who included celeb foodies Matt Preston, Sarah Wilson, Tony Squires, Mikey Robins, Christine Manfield, Sean Connolly, Lyndey Milan and John Fink, indulged in Nguyen’s delicious stand-up feast such as prawn & pork rice paper rolls, pork skewers, salt & pepper tofu and Luke’s signature dish, the pho dish – all complemented by specially devised cocktails to match such as lychee and soursop martinis and tamarind with cinnamon martinis.

Food lovers and chefs convened to taste Nguyen’s stand up feast.

Star City’s expansion will consist of a reshaping of the building to face towards the harbour as well as city views. Additionally a new 309 room hotel on vacant land next to the casino will be the first major five star hotel build in the CBD since the Olympic Games.
