Over 800 specials guests walked the yellow carpet to attend the official program launch of the Sydney Festival 2011 held at Sydney’s Town Hall earlier this month. The event included a unique staging concept, a concave cyclorama featuring projections of the festival program and images that captivated the crowd.

Guests included numerous faces from the arts and entertainment industry as well as Sydney Lord Mayer Clover Moore (in a wheelchair following an ankle injury).

The talking piece of the event was the unique staging concept, constructed by Staging Rentals.

The event’s visual masterpiece included a unique cyclorama, constructed by Staging Rentals and featuring projections by Technical Direction Company (TDC). The set was purpose-built for the launch of the Festival program and measured 15m wide by 4.8 m high.

The cyclorama, featured projections of upcoming events for the Festival and more.
