The Oaks Hotel in Neutral Bay has brought a little taste of Aspen to Sydney with its fully-themed ‘winter ski lodge’ front bar.
Chef Danny Russo is serving up cheese and truffle toasties, frickles (deep-fried pickles), bacon, bourbon and caramel pop-corn, pork belly mac and cheese, a slow-roasted ‘ribwich’ burger with beer short ribs and slaw and toasted marshmallows.
The drinks list includes warm cider, Caesars, fresh Granny Smith apple juice with a choice of rye, vodka or Fireball Cinnamon Whisky and hot chocolate for adults – rich cacao blended with liqueur or schnapps.
The ski lodge pop up is located in The Oaks’ front bar, nineteenthirtysix and will run from June 6 – August 31.
