The Macau Government Tourist Office Australia’s annual travel agent and media event held in Luna Park’s Crystal Palace was a huge hit with guests.
For such a chilly Sydney winter’s night, it didn’t take long for the 160 travel industry guests at Macau Fringe to warm to the performances.
The event provided non-stop entertainment, from a colourful sound and light show introduced by MGTO general manager Helen Wong to the series of on-stage ‘electro swing’ routines by the Luna Park Dance Troop.
From great heights, stilted performers kept everyone on their toes while a balloon artist moved around the venue creating a variety of interesting shapes for guests to take home as a memento.
Macau Fringe was designed as a “celebration of entertainment” to showcase the former Portuguese enclave as an internationally renowned centre for entertainment and colourful year-round festivals.
Many of
Macau’s 25 UNESCO World Heritage site were highlighted during the sound and light show as guests wined on unique Macanese cuisine, including African chicken and the popular sweets ‘sawdust-like’ Serradura and Macanese egg tarts.
