Hot on the heels of Halloween this week, groups holding a conference or meeting in the NSW Macarther region have a new group tour to choose fro. One that’s sure to be a ‘Scream’- the Studley Park House Ghost Tour.

Studley Park House is a historic mansion built in the Macarthur region around Camden and Campbelltown and is now currently part of the Camden Golf Club.

Spice magazine took the tour for a test run last week which saw us meeting up at The Crystal Shop in Camden for a short briefing from owner Fay Dean, before we headed out to explore the gigantic house.

Armed with a flash light and elecromagnetic field reader we can say without a doubt there’s certainly plenty of energy on the grounds and within the house.

Small groups of about 12-15 can be accommodated for these tours and individuals can also book (we suggest taking a friend). The tours allow for plenty of space to explore this historic house with plenty of creepy tales of its own. Built in the late 1880s, the home has had many incarnations over the years as a private residence, a grammar school, an army training grounds and now has been again privately purchased and currently under restoration.

The home has drawn a considerable amount of attention from paranormal investigators, TV crews and curious souls of the general public as reports of numerous deaths occurred on the property including several adults and children such as the drowning of a fourteen year old grammer school student and another, the son of Arthur Adolphus Gregory of Twentieth Century Fox Australia of appendicitis.

The spirited two-hour adventure was certainly enough to raise a few questions about what’s considered to be one of Australia’s most haunted houses.
