The World Monster Truck Finals kick off in Brisbane November 15

Seen a coup for the Australian events industry, the high-powered event will be hosted by racing driver and Channel Seven personality Grant Denyer.

The grand spectacle will include an indoor pyrotechnics show with 30 giant gas flames and lasers that will take a team of 40 technicians three days to put in place.

The unique event will see the biggest names in monster trucking, with US legends Paul Shafer, Dan Patrick, Rich Inman and 2005 World Champion, James Tigue.

Four Australians will also compete — three of who are from the same family. They are current national champion Clive Featherby, Jaye Featherby and Billy Featherby — wjp at 14 is the world’s youngest monster truck driver, who will drive the Sony Playstation 3 Motorstorm truck.

Australia’s fourth representative is Sherri Shafer, the only female driver in the line up.

The event will include 10 monster trucks plus flame throwing vans, a demolition derby and more.
