EXCLUSIVE BY JAMES WILKINSON IN DURBAN, SOUTH AFRICA
South African Airways is seeing significant growth on flights to and from Johannesburg from Sydney and Perth, according to the airline’s head of Australasia, Thevan Krishna.
Speaking exclusively to SpiceNews on camera during the Indaba trade show in Durban last week (May 9), Krishna said the Australian routes were up 30% in 2010, particularly thanks to the FIFA World Cup.
He also said the incentive market was showing great promise and “as the news gets around this is a unique destination, we are getting more and more interest from the MICE market”.
