While Hilton’s Surfers Paradise project may be in voluntary administration, the chain’s vice president for Australasia, Ashley Spencer, has told SpiceNews he can “absolutely guarantee the project will happen”.
The $700 million project being developed by Raptis is due for completion in 2010 and marks Hilton’s first foray into the Gold Coast.
It was placed into the hands of Deloitte during February, but the administrator soon after announced it was expecting a “positive outcome”.
