EXCLUSIVE BY JAMES WILKINSON IN BANGKOK

Accor’s Director of Operations for Thailand, Paul Stevens, says Bangkok’s immediate future “looks bright” despite the city being inundated by floods in recent months.

Talking exclusively to SpiceNews on camera at the brand new Hotel Muse in Bangkok this week (Nov 28), Stevens said demand was still strong for the country as a whole and development continued at a rapid pace, especially in the capital.

“Looking into the future, we see it quite bright,” he said. “Arrivals into the country are still substantially up on last year and hotel development is moving ahead.”

SpiceNews flew to Bangkok with Qantas. The Flying Kangaroo flies daily to Bangkok from Sydney and offers connections to the service from across Australia and New Zealand. The author recommends flying in Business Class, which features hours of entertainment on demand, food from award-winning chef Neil Perry and wines from Australia’s leading producers. The Skybeds on offer in the cabin are some of the most comfortable in the air and the service onboard from the Qantas crew is second to none. For bookings, visit www.qantas.com
