Registrations open for BEIA’s future-igniting conference in Hawke’s Bay

Themed 'Ignite the Future', the event marks BEIA’s first conference for the New Zealand industry in three years.

Registrations have opened for Business Events Industry Aotearoa’s (BEIA) 46th AGM and Annual Conference, to be held at Napier Conference Centre in Hawke’s Bay, 4 to 6 October 2022.

Themed ‘Ignite the Future’, the event marks BEIA’s first conference for the New Zealand industry in three years and will be centred around discussions on the challenges, opportunities and business models needed ahead.

After two-and-a-half year of significant challenges for the industry, BEIA chief executive, Lisa Hopkins said now was the time to move forward at pace and with optimism.

“The conference gives our members the opportunity to reconnect in an energising environment and work on the challenging and stimulating conversations needed for future success,” Hopkins said.

The conference programme will feature interactive workshops designed to develop debate and ideas, and deliver solutions to industry challenges, as well as the chance to experience the Hawke’s Bay region’s wine and food culture, Art Deco heritage, and nature and wildlife activities.

First-timers to the conference will be welcomed at a special event on Tuesday afternoon, 4 October followed by the welcome function that evening at the Old Church Napier, with ToiToi – Hawke’s Bay Arts and Event Centre hosting the gala dinner on 6 October.

“This is the ideal time to connect with others in the industry and, as we know, shared experiences create stronger bonds,” Hopkins said.

“Hawke’s Bay region will be the perfect place to do this – with stunning views to the horizon across the Pacific Ocean from the waterfront conference centre in Napier, and time off to explore the region, network, and soak up ideas.”
