NZ’s MEETINGS tradeshow returning to Auckland

New Zealand’s premier tradeshow for the business events industry, MEETINGS, is set to return to Auckland in 2025 and 2026.

Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA) has announced its MEETINGS dates for the next two years, with the 2025 edition to be held at Auckland Showgrounds on 11-12 June next year, and the 2026 edition at New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) on 17-18 June the following year.

BEIA chief executive Lisa Hopkins is pleased MEETINGS is heading to New Zealand’s largest city for the next two years.

“It’s been four years since MEETINGS was held in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland and much has changed in the city,” she says.

“We can’t wait to introduce buyers to the exciting transformation the city is experiencing with new major infrastructure projects such as NZICC, City Rail Link – due to open at the end of 2025 – and several new hotels, including five-star Horizon Hotel and Intercontinental Auckland, as well as the expansion of Cordis Pinnacle Tower.

“Hosted buyers, by invitation, will have the opportunity to tour NZICC in 2025, as a prelude to 2026.

“We are already looking ahead to the 30th anniversary of MEETINGS in 2026, and NZICC will be an exciting venue to celebrate this milestone.”

Tātaki Auckland Unlimited chief executive Nick Hill says he is excited MEETINGS is returning to his city in 2025 and 2026.

“This announcement reflects Tātaki Auckland Unlimited’s strong partnership with BEIA, and our commitment to attract more high-value business events to our region,” he says.

“The sector plays an important role in increasing our visitation and tourism numbers, and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to connect, collaborate and experience all Auckland has to offer.”

MEETINGS was last held in Auckland in 2021, followed by Christchurch, Wellington and Rotorua, in 2024.

MEETINGS 2024 generated a projected NZ$110 million worth of business during the next three years.
