The initiative, The Dream Collective Western Australia, aims to promote and showcase the state’s best tourism products, and support advancements in business quality.
To be included in the program each year, operators need to meet eligibility requirements covering customer reviews; website and online platforms; marketing and social media activity; training; accreditation and awards; and sustainable and inclusive visitor experiences.
The Dream Collective Western Australia program is designed to ensure tourism experiences are developed with a key focus on the visitor.
Tourism WA acting managing director Steph Underwood says the program will strengthen Tourism WA’s ambition to support the development of a high-performing industry, one of the key pillars in the Western Australian Visitor Economy Strategy 2033 (WAVES).
“The Dream Collective supports WAVES’ goals of sustainability and inclusivity by promoting the development of environmentally conscious and inclusive tourism experiences, and acknowledging the efforts of those leading in these areas,” she says.
The Dream Collective Western Australia prioritises the promotion of tourism businesses that have reached the highest standards in emissions reduction and accessibility, as well as those excelling in the WA Tourism Awards.
“The Dream Collective rewards businesses for improving their product and operations,” says Evan Hall, CEO, Tourism Council WA.
“For example, businesses with the best online reviews and those reaching the highest standards of Sustainable Tourism Accreditation.”
