Fast-growing Australian startup Lumi.Media has launched a new applicant and registration tool which will make sourcing event talent, registering delegates and speakers, and coordinating volunteers at major events quicker, easier and more affordable.
Delivered as a SaaS, Lumi.Media is a complete end-to-end workflow platform, that enables teams to easily collaborate to streamline the process of on-boarding talent for in-person events.
With pandemic restrictions easing, Lumi.Media chief executive officer Karen Dewey said the event industry is increasingly required to manage high volumes of applicants, delegates, speakers and volunteers of major events.
“Our new applicant and registration tool optimises the process for event managers and applicants, saving time, minimising complexity, and providing the opportunity to offset the cost of processing and securely storing applications,” Dewey said.
In an industry that has typically been reliant on manual processes and spreadsheets, the onboarding of short-term event staff has previously been largely manual, but with the volume of applications now spanning hundreds to thousands, time and costs have skyrocketed.
This, coupled with the pandemic and pivot to remote and hybrid working arrangements, has led to the event industry desperately needing a digital solution that is cost effective, easy to use and enables information to be retained and accessed across different events and accessible year to year.
“Our new cloud-based tool, accessible from anywhere, provides an exceptional application and registration experience for both applicants and volunteers and the professional teams sourcing them,” Dewey said.
“From first-touch to end-of-project, Lumi centralises information and makes it easy to share, collaborate and communicate in one place.”
