Jetstar launches Brisbane-to-Geelong direct service

Australian airline Jetstar has launched its new direct Brisbane-to-Geelong service, landing at Avalon airport.

Commencing on 28 June, 2024, the direct route touches down at Avalon, on the outskirts of Geelong, and also services the existing Melbourne market.

Jetstar is offering daily return flights connecting Brisbane and Geelong, celebrating 20 years since its inaugural flight with the addition of this new flight path.

This route provides Brisbane’s corporate clients with easy access to Geelong’s business events offerings and the Great Ocean Road, which is ideal for post-conference incentive activities.

“The new Brisbane-to-Avalon service creates an opportunity for southeast Queensland associations and corporations to access and explore our region, as well as many other regional Victorian destinations,” says Tamie Ryan, business events and international manager, Business Events Geelong.

“We look forward to welcoming Queenslanders via this new route.

“The direct link between Brisbane and Avalon will give customers from Brisbane access to Geelong and The Bellarine at an affordable price.”

Business Events Geelong is the convention bureau for Geelong and The Bellarine, assisting organisers in sourcing venues and suppliers for corporate events.
