Intrepid and Kimberley Wild Expeditions (KWE) have partnered for the past 17 years, delivering travel experiences in the Kimberley region.
The acquisition sees Intrepid acquire KWE’s fleet of vehicles and secure a lease on Bungle Bungle Camp.
KWE will continue to operate Kimberley Travellers Lodge and will partner with Intrepid under a standard Agent Sales Agreement to sell products in the region.
“We are thrilled to integrate Kimberley Wild Expeditions’ assets into our portfolio and continue their amazing work and dedication to the region,” says Brett Mitchell, managing director of Intrepid Travel ANZ.
“This acquisition marks a significant milestone in our commitment to expanding our sustainable and immersive travel experiences in Western Australia, and is testament to our commitment to delivering extraordinary travel experiences while supporting local community-based tourism.
“We are excited to welcome the KWE team into the Intrepid family and look forward to continuing our journey together.”
As a B Corp company, Intrepid is committed to delivering culturally enriching and environmentally conscious travel experiences in Australia.
“This acquisition will allow Intrepid to fulfil its operational ambitions within the Kimberley and continue our work and commitment to the region,” says James Weeding, managing director of Kimberley Wild Expeditions.
“After partnering with Intrepid for the past 17 years as an operator, it’s perfect timing for this transition and our team to formally join Intrepid’s business.
“We look forward to continuing our partnership with Intrepid as an agent and continuing to attract new travellers to the Kimberley.”
