Langham Hotels International (LHI) has announced the expansion of its Thai portfolio with the Langham Place Samui at Lamai Beach resort set to open in November.
Langham Place Samui at Lamai Beach, Koh Samui,
will open in November
The luxurious designer boutique resort comprises a village of 77 villas and suites, with many featuring personal plunge pools and stunning views over the Gulf of Thailand. It is located on the island of Koh Samui, off the eastern coastline of southern Thailand.
The entrance is flanked by a walkway of waterfalls leading to a raised lobby area with views of the sea, where a DJ plays cool tracks to create a subtle energy.
From the property, two piers extend 150 metres out to sea, ending in a secluded pavilion. Amenities include a sea view restaurant, poolside splash bar, an array of dining retreats scattered across the grounds and cool communal pools that can be reserved exclusively for group stays and private pool parties.
Langham Place Samui will also be one of the first Langham properties to introduce The Pantry and Portal – Surf & Play. The concept takes the vibrant atmosphere of the kitchen to guests, with chefs taking orders and preparing snacks and drinks, while the Portal connects guests with the real world via the internet.
“We are delighted to expand our portfolio further in Thailand – the resort ‘capital’ of the world and we will continue to extend our resort footprint throughout the Asia-Pacific region when the right opportunity arises,” said LHI chief executive Brett Butcher.
LHI is pursuing an aggressive portfolio growth strategy using its brands and affiliate – The Langham, Langham Place and Eaton. Currently 14 hotels, including affiliates, are open or in the pipeline across four continents.
